How we compare
ETF demand is the daily net flow of all US spot Bitcoin ETFs in dollars divided by the volume-weighted average bitcoin price of that day.
New supply is the block subsidy times the number of blocks mined between midnights UTC: 3.125 BTC per block since the April 2024 halving, 6.25 BTC before it. Transaction fees are not new coins and are excluded.
ETFs trade five days a week while miners work seven, so the comparison is weekly, Monday to Sunday.
This is a description of flows, not a forecast: ETF demand above new supply does not by itself set the price.
