Is there a deadline?
There is no fixed decision date for the Aave ETF. An S-1 registration has no legal deadline: the SEC declares it effective when its review is done. Since September 17, 2025, most spot crypto funds list under the exchanges’ generic listing standards, without a separate exchange rule change (19b-4) and its 240-day clock.
What happens next
- The issuer files an S-1 registration with the SEC.
- Amendments (S-1/A) answer SEC staff comments; most funds file several.
- The SEC declares the registration effective (form EFFECT).
- An exchange lists the shares (forms 8-A12B and CERT).
- Trading starts, usually within days of listing.
Once an ETF holding Aave starts trading, cryptoetf.today tracks its daily net flows on its own page, as it does for the 16 assets it already covers. None of these steps has a fixed date.
