BlackRock’s ETHA holds 3.26M ETH, 53% of all ETF ether, and does not stake; its sister fund ETHB does.
Cannot be staked. Bitcoin, Zcash, Litecoin and Dogecoin are proof-of-work networks and XRP has no staking, so their 21 funds hold coins without staking rewards.
Staked coins = coins held × the share staked that each issuer last disclosed; dollar values at Thursday’s net assets. Source: SEC filings and issuer disclosures.

Paid in cash. Rewards are sold and paid per share like a dividend: ETH, ETHE, ETHB, MSSE, GSOL, MSOL, SOEZ, HYPG, GSUI and GAVA monthly; FETH, TETH, FSOL, VSOL, TSOL, QSOL, BHYP, THYP, TSUI, BAVA, VAVX and TDOT quarterly.
Kept in the fund. Rewards stay in the trust and the coins behind each share grow: BSOL, SOLC, SUIS, NRR and TRXS.
Kept by the sponsor. Canary’s HBR stakes all its HBAR, but the rewards go to the sponsor (1 fund).
Whether a fund stakes, its cap on staked assets, providers and how rewards are paid come from its prospectus and other SEC filings. Each fund page links the filing.
Share staked and yield are shown as the issuer publishes them, with their date. Staked coins are an estimate: coins held × the disclosed share, or the target where none is disclosed.
Our own check: for funds that do not stake, coins per share can only shrink by the sponsor fee. Across 6 such funds the difference stays within 0.19 points a year.
Coins held and cash payouts update every trading day (T+1). Share staked and yields are the latest figures each issuer has published, with their date; we last checked them on 23 okt 2026.
What staking means for an ETF.
Proof-of-stake networks pay rewards to coins locked up to validate blocks. A staking ETF delegates part of its coins to validators through a provider and passes part of the rewards to holders.
