What is ETF flow?

The cleanest measurement of institutional crypto demand

An ETF flow is the net dollar value of shares created minus shares redeemed in a single fund on a single day. It's the purest institutional barometer of demand.

Because creation and redemption is handled by regulated authorized participants, flows reflect large institutional movements that move markets.

CryptoETF.today tracks every US-listed spot crypto ETF across 16 assets — from Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Hyperliquid to Dogecoin, Chainlink, Avalanche, Hedera, Litecoin, BNB, Polkadot, Sui, NEAR, Tron and Zcash — in real time. Read our methodology →

Issuer ranking

Top spot crypto ETF issuers by net inflows

BlackRock's IBIT remains the undisputed leader, followed by Fidelity and Grayscale.

Figures are cumulative net flows since launch, not assets under management. A negative value means more money has left than came in — as with Grayscale's converted trusts.

Tracking: BlackRock (IBIT), BlackRock ETHB (ETHB), Fidelity (FBTC), Bitwise (BITB), 21Shares (ARKB), VanEck (HODL), Invesco (BTCO), Franklin Templeton (EZBC), Grayscale BTC (GBTC), Grayscale Crypto (GCRY), Valkyrie (BRRR), WisdomTree (BTCW), Morgan Stanley (MSBT), Grayscale Mini (BTC), Canary (XRPC).

Built for professionals

Research tools that analysts actually use.

Straight from issuer data

Daily flows are calculated from each issuer's published shares outstanding and NAV — no intraday proxies. Each trading day is published by the next morning, before the US market opens.

Issuer-level attribution

Break net flow down to the fund level. See which issuers are gaining share and which are bleeding AUM, with HHI concentration on every asset.

CEFI Sentiment Index

A 0–100 institutional sentiment gauge across all 16 tracked assets, built from net flow, AUM trend, momentum, inflow streaks and issuer concentration.

Institutional cost basis

Daily volume-weighted average entry price for every fund — see where institutions are actually positioned and their unrealized P&L, not just today’s flow.

Custom flow alerts

Threshold alerts on net flow, AUM or CEFI moves, delivered as a push notification the moment a new record prints.

REST API & exports

Every metric on this site through a documented REST API with scoped keys — flows, CEFI, tickers, prices and weekly analytics, plus in-app CSV export.

FAQ

Everything you need to trust the data.

What are crypto ETF flows?+
ETF flows represent the net dollar value of shares created or redeemed on a given trading day. Positive flows mean new shares were issued — the fund's authorized participants bought underlying assets from the market. Negative flows mean the reverse.
How often is the data updated?+
Every trading day. Flows are calculated from issuer disclosures, and each day is published by the next morning, before the US market opens; late issuer figures are re-checked the same evening. Coin prices refresh throughout the day.
Which funds does CryptoETF.today track?+
We track all US-listed spot crypto ETFs across 16 assets — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Hyperliquid, Dogecoin, Chainlink, Avalanche, Hedera, Litecoin, BNB, Polkadot, Sui, NEAR, Tron and Zcash. The fund directory includes BlackRock, Fidelity, Grayscale, Ark Invest, Bitwise, VanEck, 21Shares, Canary and others.
Is this investment advice?+
No. CryptoETF.today is a data research product. The information on this site is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice, financial advice or any recommendation to buy or sell any asset.
What is YTD flow?+
Year-to-date (YTD) flow is the cumulative net inflow or outflow across all tracked funds from January 1 of the current calendar year to the most recent trading day.
